Dan Scott & The Banjo Express

Dan Scott and the Banjo Express is what happens when musical renegades collide — a group forged from decades of grit, genius, and just enough chaos to keep every audience on edge.

Danny “Hot Rod” Lincoln

(Yankee Coalition • Lincoln Boys • Underwater People • Nip & Tuck) For over 40 years, Danny “Hot Rod” Lincoln has been pickin’, grinnin’, and tearing up stages across the Midwest. He’s a traditionalist with a rebel streak — the kind of player who honors the old ways while bending them into something unmistakably his own. His banjo work is equal parts precision and attitude, and now that he’s discovered Gorilla Snot, there’s no telling what kind of sonic mischief he’ll unleash next.

Scott Kirby

Singer • Songwriter • Rhinelander Original Scott Kirby is the voice and the storyteller — a singer‑songwriter with roots deep in Rhinelander soil and a gift for turning lived experience into something raw and resonant. His vocals carry the smoke of late nights, the weight of real stories, and the spark that ties this whole wild group together.

The Sound

Together, these individuals create a musical experience that’s equal parts tradition and rebellion. Their sound blends bluegrass grit, outlaw energy, and a fearless streak of experimentation. Every show feels like a backwoods revival crossed with a roadside carnival — unpredictable, electric, and impossible to forget.

They’re not here to fit into a genre box. They’re here to blow the box apart.

Dan Scott and the Banjo Express: one mission — to make music that hits you in the chest and stays there.
