“…one of the most unheralded singers in independent country/Americana.” – Saving Country Music
Applelovemusic and The Midwest Music Hour is proud to present Alice Wallace -2017 Female Vocalist of the year at the California Country Awards. Alice Wallace began her musical journey at a young age, emulating the Powerhouse Vocalists like Linda Ronstadt and Patsy Cline with the smooth emotive style of Emmylou Harris. She picked up guitar at age 10 and by age 15 was learning fingerstyle picking under the guidance of her father. From her early performances at the local Borders Bookstore, to international tours- Wallace has performed over 200 shows per year for the last decade and is primed for her breakthrough moment. Rebelle Road (an all female powered California Label) is home to her 4th studio album "Into The Blue". The title track "The Blue", is about the risks you take to do what you love. A new album is due to hit the airwaves in 2024 & is being produced by Nashville producer and session drummer Nick Buda, whose recording credits include Taylor Swift, Martina McBride and Dolly Parton, and who currently tours as in Kenny Chesney’s band. It features an A-list team of players including Grammy-winning guitarist Kenny Greenberg (Willie Nelson, Wynnona Judd, Hayes Carll), bassist Ted Pecchio (Doyle Bramhall II, Susan Tedeschi) and keyboardist Jimmy Wallace (The Wallflowers).
